Attractions

Brewster has a population of around 2100. Brewster sits right at the mouth of the Okanogan river where it meets the mighty Columbia river, both Brewster and Pateros sit right along side the Columbia River. In Pateros, the Methow river meets the Columbia river to make for a great place for water sports.

Bird Watching

Lower Okanogan county is a paradise for bird-watchers. Large numbers of neo-tropical migrants move through this area spring and fall and large numbers of hawks work the ridge line between Lake Chelan and the Methow valley, just above Pateros. The area has nesting Ospreys, Bald Eagles, Golden eagles, Swainson hawks and Kestrels. Wintering populations of everything from Lapland Longspurs to Gyrfalcons occur here.

Boating
	In Lake Pateros there are eight boating docks at waterfront park in Pateros and you can enjoy a fun filled boating ride.

Cross Country Skiing / Snowmobiling
	Cross country skiing is a popular activity all over the Lake Chelan area. The area has many trails for you to enjoy. Whether you're an experienced cross country skier or its your first time, the trails in the area will accommodate your needs. For more information visit this site. Fishing
	The upper Columbia River and the Methow River provide great fishing for Steealhead, Walleye, Trout and Bass. Many say that Brewster boasts the best bass fishing in Washington.

Hunting

More than 80% of Okanogan county is public land and open to hunting during the open seasons, Lake Pateros has excellent hunting for ducks and geese and Dept. of Fish and Wildlife lands (over 7,000 acres) nearby on the Columbia river are managed for upland birds (pheasant, valley quail, chukar, and huns). The area is also home to large populations of black bear and cougar and there are long seasons available for hunting. See your Washington hunting pamphlet for the details.

Treking & Parks
	The area is well known for its many hiking and treking trails and you can enjoy nature while you trek the many famous trails and parks nearby including Brewster Legion Park , Alta Lake State Park , Brewster Columbia Cove Park

Water Sports
	The nearby Columbia River & Lake Pateros offer you the opportunity to enjoy thrilling water sports. Waterskiing and wakeboarding as well as jet skiing are all popular water sports on this stretch of the river. Brewster offers two boat docks.
